On September 19, 2026, the Rotary Club of San Roque conducted an educational outreach program for the Dumagat Indigenous People. This is a community of the Indigenous People Education School in Sitio Krahume, Barangay San Isidro, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
The project aimed to support the educational needs of Dumagat children by providing essential school materials and encouraging them to continue their education. Recognizing that access to basic school supplies can help remove barriers to learning, the Rotary Club of San Roque focused its efforts on giving practical assistance that could make a meaningful difference in the children’s daily school experience.
As part of the outreach, the Rotary Club distributed school bags and school supplies to the children. The activity also provided an opportunity for Rotarians and volunteers to interact with the community, share insights and encourage the students; instill in them the value of education. The distribution created moments of joy and fellowship as the children received their school bags and educational materials. More than the school bags and supplies, the project delivered a message of hope, support, and inclusion. It reminded the children that their education is valued and that the community stands behind their aspirations. The initiative also strengthened the Rotary Club’s commitment to serving Indigenous communities and promoting education as a pathway toward a better future.
Through this project, the Rotary Club of San Roque continues to put “Service Above Self” into action— empowering children, strengthening communities, and helping build a brighter future through education.
