Rotary Club of San Roque brought together service, environmental stewardship, and inspiration through a meaningful community project at Garcia Farm Integrated School Inc. last August 5, 2026, in Gen. Tinio, Nueva Ecija.
With 12 Rotarians, including Charter President Eric Echague, Legacy President Sherwin Sobrepeña, and Environment Chair April Villarta-Manuud, the club carried out three key activities: planting 100 seedlings, donating 10 solar street lamps, and delivering an inspirational message to the newly graduated students of Agricultural Crops Production.
PURPOSE:
The project aims to promote environmental responsibility, support sustainable agriculture, improve community safety through renewable energy, and inspire young graduates to use their knowledge and skills in building a greener and more sustainable future.
ACTIVITIES:
Planted 100 seedlings as a lasting commitment to environmental protection and donated 10 solar street lamps for sustainable lighting within the community. The graduates were also encouraged to pursue their agricultural careers with passion, integrity, and a strong sense of service.
IMPACT:
Beyond planting trees and solar lights, the project planted something equally important: hope and inspiration. It reminded the graduates that their knowledge in agriculture can become a powerful instrument for communities, protecting the environment, and creating a sustainable future.
“We plant today not only for the trees that will grow, but for the generations that will benefit from them.”
